About Me
Hello, my name is Kimberly Moreland. I am a stay at home mom with six wonderful children, ranging in ages from 7 to 15. I have acquired my Associates degree in Visual Media and Graphic Design. I love making and creating new things, so why not put it to good use?
I am planning to continue my education, and acquire my Bachelors degree in the Graphic Design field over the next few years. I feel that my family is important to mention, because they have shown me my greatest strengths and talents that I have built since I became a mother. Being a mother has helped me see these strengths and the limits I can push myself to. This helps make me a stronger person. Honesty, loyalty, honor, integrity, responsibility, discipline, and hard work are some of the many things we exemplify in our home together as we grow. As my children get older and more able to take care of themselves, I find that they need me less and less. I realized that this has opened more time to start working on myself and building up the future I want for myself, my husband, and my children. I realized that by going back to school I can also set a good example for my kids to go to college and to push themselves to get good grades and to dive into their own individual passions.
At one point, I owned my own computer repair business for four years. I learned much about business and the importance of client relations. I also learned how to work with customers, and making sure their needs where met in a professional and timely manner. I learned a lot about working from home and managing my work versus my personal time. My love of photo editing also steered me in the direction of Graphics Arts, being able to take what seemed like a dark and dingy photo and making it look bright and colorful was another thing I took a lot of pride in. I spent a lot of time teaching myself how to work the photo editing program, Corel Pro Photo X3. With the Adobe Creative Suite, I find myself creating new projects, and editing a lot of friend’s photos for just the simple joy of making something old, new again.
I would love the opportunity to put my passion, skills, and energy into helping form the future of your company. No job is to minor or tedious when it comes to building a vision. I believe that I can bring an added spark of creativity and innovation to your company and I have the desire to further my skills to be a productive and efficient employee. I was wondering when we could get together to talk over my resume and go through my portfolio?
